Ezell-Morgan Construction knows exactly how to design and build a home using the latest technology to achieve serious savings in energy costs while creating a more healthy and comfortable living environment with reduced maintenance. The added investment to build an energy efficient home can take as little as three years to pay itself back.
Our homes typically use only 40% of the energy of the average home. But you don't have to take our word for it. Our homes are inspected and tested by a licensed Home Energy Rating System (HERS) inspector. The HERS inspector rates the home on a scale from 100 to 0 -- the HERS index. It's sort of like MPG for homes. The best index of 0 corresponds to a home that uses net zero energy, while 100 corresponds to home that meets the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. The average home has a rating of about 130. Ezell-Morgan's homes typically have indexes that range from 20 to 54.
